Math

We are almost done our large number unit (1 to 1 000 000 000 and beyond)
We've explored: how to say them, how to write them, what they represent, place value and even how to round them out.  The first math test of the year will be in October.

Social Studies

We have just completed our Canadian geography unit.  Students used maps, atlases and globes to discover regions of our country as well as take a look at the world as a whole.  Our next unit will be Canadian Politics as we take a close look at the Federal election that is coming in October.

Science

We have only just started the science unit: Space Exploration.  Sunday evening (September 27th), there will be a total lunar eclipse!  Please take your son or daughter outside to see the beautiful Blood Moon.  The eclipse starts around 7:30pm and lasts until about midnight.  The Blood Moon should be visible around 9:00pm.
